Research

Every morning I have a long phone conversation with my 90 year-old cousin   She lives alone and cares for herself which is remarkable.  Our conversations roam all over.  Today we were doing a little research on phone line.  She had the book.

We had a topic we wanted to find out about and she looked it up in the index.

"It's on page 122," she said.

"Good."

She began thumbing the pages..."Fifty... seventy....ah,  what page are we looking for?"

"122"

"Oh yes  100, 115, 122.  Ah, what are we looking for?"

"Ginkgo-biloba."

"Oh yes.  Ah what is it used for?"

"Short term memory."

  6. Some of these elderly people are amazing. I love to talk to our 94 year old at the senior center. She still lives alone and drives to church, the center and grocery store. She has sense enough to not get on the highway to go to Wal*Mart. She still has good memory and polices the center and makes sure no one puts their hats or purses on the tables. She is a cutie and we all love her. Paula
