I went to Rite Aid and bought a new card shuffler for our Senior Rummy Game. It is so hot that the scooter slowed down and battery indicator showed yellow. I got home and installed a battery in the new shuffler.
It doesn't work. I am sure they will give me my money back.but it is too hot to go back and ask.
It is hotter than a firecracker out there. And so am I, in here.
(Anyway, speaking of firecrackers, we had a great Fourth of July. The fireworks are getting better every year. They last longer, they are spectacular, and they pop, sizzle and BANG like firecrackers --which are banned-- used to, The manager of the old folks home didn't provide any fireworks this year, but some of us donated, and we got our money's worth.)

Maybe you should make sure the battery is a good one before taking the shuffler back if you haven't already checked. I am glad that you enjoyed the fireworks show. Helen
I agree with Helen... also, if they are the AA or AAA, are they in the right position? I've done that more times than I care to admit.

Helen and Jackie, comments below, were right. The battery fizzled... even though it was NEW. It was off the bargain table at Target, but it was no bargain.
Curious though. The battery checked okay on the battery checker. The shuffler checked okay on the circuit checker. But together they didn/t work.
SO... I connected a power supply that plugs into the wall. The suffler ran like crazy.
Now how do I connect the shuffler to a permanent power supply?
Or is this more trouble than it is worth?
have a good weekend:)
Deb
Happy belated Fourth to you.
