Well, I got half right....or half wrong, depending on your point of view.  I'm surprised at myself.  Chatechism was a very long time ago.

I will have to go to the book on "An Historical Introduction of the New Testament" to give the complete comparison on one answer.    According to one gospel Jesus was killed (sacrificed) before the slaughter of the passover lambs.   His cruxifiction would have been on a Thursday.    I believe that the author stated in John, Jesus was cruxified after the passover (which would have been in the evening) the following morning, which was a Friday.  I will get back to you with the complete reference.    mark
