Show Us Your Transportation

Photo Scavenger Hunt: Your Transportation

My early "get around" transportation was my Citybug. You can see it was a bit small for me.  However, I've traded up to a Pride Electric Scooter.  Now I can get to town, a fifteen minute scoot, or to the Mall across the boulevard in five.  I have even gone to the movies on the scooter, and I sit right in the scooter behind the last row of seats.

If the trip takes more than fifteen minutes, I load my wheel chair into the 1995 Chevy Astrovan and hobble around to the drivers' seat, climb in and drive normally. When I arrive, I reverse the process:  hobble around, pull out the wheelchair, and roll to my appointments.    .

Hey?  Can I have some of your energy?:) You're out and about more than I am.  I complain about being tired to much.  Hmmmm...

Oh neat.  I am so low on energy some days.  I think I want a scooter :-).  These are great pictures, Chuck, just great!!  It is great getting to know your life through your writings as well as your pictures!

WOW Chuck you've really got this picture thing down, even getting them side by side. Scooters are so great for helping people get out and about and stay connected. Sounds like nothing will keep you from getting out & about. Keep at it.

You look lethal on that machine. Where is your crash helmet? Keep smilling.

Good job with the pics.. side by side even!! Thank you for visiting my journal and catching my boo-boo. I put a comment in there thanking you, and I did edit the entry so it reads correctly. I had pulled up several timelines while writing the article, and I guess I read the one which listed the armed conflicts wrong :(. G smacked me on the back of the head and asked why I hadn't had him proof it before I published it. (He's my resident history freak.. I mean afficianado <eg>).  Sorry to hear about your friend. Look forward to hearing more about your adventures!

Love the scooter. I bet it gives you a lot of freedom to get around. Isn't it amazing the great things that are there now.     Kasey
