How... Mad... Was... She...?

My mother once said, "I got so mad that I had to make a metaphor to express it.  Then I got so amused at the metaphor, that I forgot what I was mad about."

The metaphor:  I was mad enough to eat nails without taking their heads off.

I always say "daft as a brush", but what the brush has got to do with anything I don't know. Shows how daft I am.

We sometimes say " as sick as a parrott " !  when someone is really fed up over something.  The thing is I doubt the person saying it has ever seen a sick parrott in their life  LOL    Sandra x
