Dental Shock

I've been going to the dentist for a partial plate, upper.  The cost has never been mentioned.  I didn't ask because I knew that however much it was I would be uncomfortable with it, and he didn't volunteer because I never asked.

Today I told the receptionist that I'd better pay for the work so far... the fitting.  I asked what I owed.

"Ten, fifty three," she replied.

I was astounded. "How much," I asked her so she would repeat.

"Ten, fifty three."

In disbelief I said, "Ten thousand fifty three?"

She smiled. "No, one thousand fifty-three."

I paid before she changed her mind.

Turnabout is fair play, I suppose.

Now you're sinking dough into your teeth!

Blimey Chuck, it would have been cheaper for you to get an air ticket to Poland and have all your work done there.  I have read that lots of people in the UK go over there to get their work done as its cheaper than private work over here.  You can be lucky and get a National Health Service Dentist and its a lot cheaper but they are far and few between nowadays.  Thank goodness you could afford to pay it but its a shame there isn't a discount for older folks.  Hugs, Terry x

That's pretty cheap, Chuck for that type of work.  I had work done recently, a couple teeth rebuilt for close to $1,000, so not too bad.  Hey, Happy Father's Day, G'pa Groundhog!  You dressed?  LOL  Love ya! xox
