Keep Dancin'

Keep Movin'.  Don't stand still, or they'll get you.  And don't turn your back.

I looked out my courtyard door today and.... whoa.  Our favorite yellow rosebush, Jude, had been cut off at the knees.  She had been cut back to three feet in height.

Alas.  And yet, I know it was the right thing to do.  It is COLD out there, and she'll sprout again in February...at least, Twiggy did this year.

The cuttings lay on the ground and I wheeled out and saved some for a friend's garden.  Now Jude will have off-spring to beautify other parts of Merced, our town.

Isn't it funny how trimming back means sprouting? Rather like a new year, don't you think?

Had a little look round our garden this morning while feeding the birds and low and behold miniature daffodils and tulips through the pots and Grape Hyacinth in flower this is totally unheard of in Scotland in December.  Love Joan

I'm looking forward to next year's photos of both Jude and Twiggy. Happy New Year, Chuck.

Yeah, weird.  I have often thought that, it doesn't seem right to cut rosebushes all the way down like that, but boy are they beautiful in the summer.  Nature is GRAND!  You have shown us some of the most beautiful roses, Chuck.  I could almost smell them =).  Happy 2008 to ya!... Love, Val xox
