Food for Thought

Curious:  Whales are mammals and have the richest milk...50% fat. But pair this with the fact that the mammals with the second-richest milk are guinea pigs, 46% fat, and you have a fact worth pondering.

A cow can swim, but aren't you glad they can't fly?

Do you know what kind of an animal a wether is? Left click your mouse and drag the cursor over the line below to find out.

A wether is a neutered male goat.

You are right but don't you think it is utterly ridiculous to milk either one? Lol!

Actually, Chuck, from an evolutionary standpoint, whales and guinea pigs probably have a fairly recent common ancestor. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/12/photogalleries/whale-pictures/

My daughter was working for the Dept of Wildlife and Conservation last summer along the Yampa and Colorado Rivers.  She would tell me tales of wildlife she was exposed to during her interesting summer.
One of the things she and her co-workers came across quite often were cattle or cows stranded on islands in the river.  The mountian snows would melt and the animals were left stranded.  Cows being an herd animal would not step into the river as they could not judge the depth of the water.  And one would not do it without another.
