I Never Promised You a RoseGarden -- II

I said that the gardeners had kept the roses from their second blooming until next year. They cut them all back to three foot stumps in July.

I was wrong.  They have come back just fine.  Jermain should be happy.

It takes a big man to admit his mistakes. I'm so glad that the roses returned; I guess the gardeners knew what they were doing!

Sometimes pruning works wonders.  And not just in the rose garden!

When I had roses I cut them back in February and August and never had a problem. I just planted some petunias in an old fashioned metal dish sink out of a reastaurant. Thought it was ready to cool off, but alas they say 100 degrees Saturday. Paula

well how about that. I was so mad when they cut those roses back. I didn't know they would do that if you cut them back in July. I'm going to try that next yr. with my rose bushes. I'm so happy now and am laughing at how mad I got lol
