Follow up -- Painting The Parking Lot

They painted the parking lot of the old folks home --  except for one space where a lady parked her car, locked it, and went away for the week-end.  They painted AROUND her car.  This is that space, where her car was parked.

And there is another little unpainted spot... I wonder what was parked there.

Ooooh, look what someone parked in the new parking lot.  A brand new Toyota XR.Something.

Someone asked me "Isn't that one of those new hybrids, part electric?"  I didn't know, but as I watched the driver came and got in, and the huge thing glided off, as silently as the fog drifting away.  Spooky those electric drives.

Makes my old van look boxy and old fashioned.  Here is my '95 Chevy Van.

And just because I have up-graded my Photobucket membership, and have unlimited photos, here is the front of the old folks home where I live and write my journal.

I wondered what was happening with that parking space.  Does anyone know whether someone scolded the woman who left her car there?  Just curious. - Karen

I like your "boxy and old fashioned" van. I have a 2000 Chevy Astro van. If it wasnt in a wreck back in 2002, It would be perfect and I would never want to get rid of it. Take Care. (: Jenny-Marie :)  http://journals.aol.com/kraztweety2/MyBoringLifeInHesperia

It is so nice to "see" where you write your journal from, Chuck!  Hi Chuck in his home!!  ~Val is waving at her computer!!!~  I like your boxier van.  I like boxier vehicles.  I don't like the newer "space ship"-looking vehicles.  Hey, have a good Memorial Day! xox

I think it is super clever of you to arrange it that there will be a "marker" in the spot next to where you park your van, so you'll always be able to see your spot from a distance.  Well, that is, unless there is a car parked over the unpainted spot.  DRAT...didn't think of that...maybe I should scratch this whole comment!?  LOL

P.S.  I am amazed that your little camera takes such good pics!  Isn't it interesting too that the roof on the "old folks home" looks like a striped TENT?  Maybe that explains why it is sometimes like a 3 ring circus in there.

LOL...I can't believe I have SO many THOUGHTS on this!  But, it occurred to me...that lot must have been painted by MEN.  You notice how they couldn't mop that "paint" on UNDER the car?  tee hee

I`ve seen something similar in a newspaper. A car was parked by the side of the road and further up the street, workmen were painting yellow parking lines along the edge of the road. When the car owner came back, she was surprised to find that the men had painted around the side of her car.....unbelievable  lol !  :-)
