Whew -- I'm Back

What a loooooong week-end.  Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday...with NO internet.  Ask no questions, look up no data, post no entries in blog, read no email.

The frustrations of moving, cleaning out old apartment with Landlord asking "When you be out of here?", seeking boxers to pack things in, and then sorting all the detrius from past few years, all while the router sported a red light saying "no DSL".  And dial-up didn't work either.

Strange how dependent we get on our computers. We didn't even have computers fifteen years ago, and now we get dispondent when they don't work for a few days. I was miserable.  Friend Dave Burke says in a comment to my last entry, which I just got to read a few minutes ago, that he has lived out of a suitcase for past ninemonths, and that he has learned how to live with only the clutter he can carry with  him.  That is fine, but he had his internet...he took it with him.

It is three a.m. and I was coming back from a nocturnal visit to the WC, and I noticed thqt the router had all lights green -- GO.  Yay, I stopped, postponed sleep, and got online immediately.  Couldn't wait.  But will go back to bed....after  I read the TWENTY FOUR email messages that have piled up.

I missed you, Friends.
